Geri is the studio founder and director and has been studying, practicing and sharing the joy of Yoga and Pilates for over 20 years. She is multi certified through AAAI/ISMA and has enjoyed advanced training with such masters as Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman Yee,
Gary Kraftsow, Seane Corn and Shiva Rae.
Suzy is a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified, registered instructor trained in hatha, chair, gentle, restorative, prenatal and multi-level yoga trained under the tutelage of notable yogis Doug Swenson, Jillian Pransky, Sadie Nardini and Leslie Kaminoff. She teaches the ancient art of yoga in a practical, empowering and rewarding manner. As a compassionate and gifted teacher, she maintains the ability to provide safe posture adjustments, asana modifications for injury prevention and gives clear and concise instruction on pranayama and meditation. Suzy teaches yoga in a non-competitive, non-judgmental manner and allows for an adaptable practice that evolves as you evolve! She believes that the most beneficial characteristic of yoga is that anyone of any size, shape, age and level of fitness will gain an increased level of healing relaxation and a higher, healthier and more positive outlook on life!
Penelope was first certified in Prana Yoga at the New York Open Center under Kripalu teacher and physician Jeff Migdow. She received further training at Kripala Yoga Center in Lenox, Massachusetts for yoga therapy, in which yoga poses are used to remediate physical, mental and emotion issues within the body. Penelope completed advanced teacher training with yoga master Rodney Yee and is registered through the Yoga Alliance.
Helen is a Certified in Core Vinyasa Strength Yoga (with Sadie Nardini) and Kid Power Yoga (with Mariam Gates). In addition to her yoga studio work, she is currently volunteering at the Toms River Community Center, providing yoga therapy (body awareness and breath work) to oncology and cardiology patients. From 2010 to 2011 she taught yoga to the deaf and hearing impaired. Helen left the world of high finance and high impact aerobics, running and the like when she was introduced to yoga and was immediately “hooked”. She modifies her teaching to address the needs of the students in her class, emphasizing proper alignment and linking breath with each pose. Helen embraces the yoga principle that life is a journey: the goal is not to arrive but to be in a continual state of arriving. She is constantly growing and learning not only from her yoga practice but also from her yoga students. In addition to yoga Helen is a photographer making art of the beauty she finds through her lenses.
